Welcome to Belmont Beth's best race selection of the day.

This Belmont meet will be different this year. The Belmont meet will be at the Big A. I like to follow the money when selecting horses to win. The majority of my picks involve rating the jockeys, the trainers, and the owners at that specific track. I’m going off of last year's Aqueduct stats because that is the actual track we are at this year. I will be throwing in Irad Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, and Luis Saez for some of my picks throughout this meet only because of the caliber of jockey they are.

Race 6 Maiden Special Weight 8.5F Turf $77K 3:35 PM EST

This is a race that normally blows up and destroys everyone's Pick 5 and Pick 6. I will be giving you four selections to use for your vertical wagers. This race is Leg 4 of the Early Pick 5, Leg 1 for the late Pick 5, and Leg 2 for the Pick 6. I would use all of these horses for your picks in the verticals.

The #10 Sweet Blush 15-1 raced at Saratoga a month ago and finished 4th. Now, it was a 7F on dirt, and you know how I love the dirt to turf horses. Today, Dylan Davis is on the mount and AND he just won that jockey title this year. Let’s see what he can do with Irad and the others that normally head south for the winter. The #7 Smokie Eyes 3-1 has Prat/Clement/Reeves teaming up again. Smokie finished 2nd on 8/3/2022 at Saratoga with this same trio of horses. Prat is a killer at this distance/surface and absolutely can not be left out of the mix. The #3 Collaboration 4-1 has Irad on the mount with trainer Linda Rice. Collaboration finished 3rd right behind Smokie Eyes in the 8/3/2022 race. The #8 Orange Freeze 7-2 is a horse that I had in my picks back at Saratoga on 8/18/2022. Orange finished 3rd with Rosario as the jockey and Clement, the trainer. It was the same distance and surface also.
